As I was making my 3rd batch of popcorn tonight resulting in an activity filled with futility..I decided to do some research. We stopped using microwavable popcorn a LONG time ago because of the chemicals in the so called butter and usually just popped in on the stove top with oil. But I am concerned with the amount of oil and have just been using a hot air popper. But lately for some reason over half of the kernels go unpopped. I kept thinking the corn was too old, I used too much in the popper, etc etc but no matter what I tried with different brands it kept giving me the same results.
So I did some researching on popcorn poppers and here are this poster's results.
